A Very Special Event

Our regional Sparks-a-Rama and T&T AwanaGames events make an outstanding Saturday where Sparks and T&Ters have a chance to shine. In the morning, you can look forward to a room filled with eager Sparks ready to play six exciting games. Early Saturday afternoon, we gather for a much more intense competition with T&Ters. Important Information

This is a one-day event with Sparks-a-Rama in the morning and T&T AwanaGames in the afternoon

REGISTRATION FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND MAILED NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT DATE. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first paid basis. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY !! PLEASE REMEMBER SPACE IS ALWAYS LIMITED!!

Completed registrations will be accepted on a first come, first paid basis and must be mailed to the event registrar at the address on the form. Team rosters must e-mailed 7 days in advance to the event coordinators (as listed on the flyer). You will find the flyer and the registration form in the box on the right side of this page.

Sorry, Team registrations are non-refundable, unless you notify Awana Missionary of your inability to compete at least THREE weeks before your scheduled meet.

Required Coaches Meeting

COACHES: ALL coaches and officials are REQUIRED to attend a coaches & officials training meeting prior to the day of the events. Meeting dates & times will be posted on the Major Event Calendar. Teams that have at least one coach at the meeting will receive 3 bonus points on their score on event day. No event questions will be answered in the coaches meeting on the day of events.

Dress Code

  • Sparks must be in modest clothing (long pants recommended because of the Sparky Crawl event)
  • AwanaGames participants must wear modest clothing with long pants

Your Help Needed

Your church helps make these events possible. Registration fees help cover the cost of awards. However, it takes quite a number of adults to produce these events. Each church registration form must include the names of two people to help staff the event (including at least one male line judge and one additional person to serve as a scorekeeper, timekeeper, or equipment runner).

Teams

Sparks teams consist of 15 to 17 players with at least 5 boys and at least 5 girls. Each team member must complete ten sections by Sparks-a-Rama day, and must not have reached their 9th birthday before September 1, 2008.

AwanaGames teams will consist of boys and girls:

  • Minimum of 6 boys and 6 girls and a maximum of 7 boys and 7 girls
  • Teams must consist of the same number of boys and girls
  • Maximum of 3 5th or 6th grade boys and 3 5th or 6th grade girls
  • A team cannot consist of more 5th and 6th graders than 3rd and 4th graders of either gender
  • 3rd and 4th graders may be substituted up for 5th and 6th graders, but 5th and 6th graders may not be substituted down for 3rd and 4th graders
  • All team members must have passed 10 sections this current club season
  • 3rd and 4th graders must not reached their 11th birthday by September 1, 2008
  • 5th and 6th graders must not reached their 13th birthday by September 1, 2008

Only two coaches will be allowed on the floor with their teams. Sparks teams may be coached by men or women; T&T teams should work toward having one man and one woman coach.
