A Very Special Event
You will not want to miss one of the most impressive events of the Awana season. Third through sixth graders from across the region will gather on a Saturday morning where they will demonstrate how they have hidden God's word in their hearts. Important Information
PLEASE REGISTER EARLY -- TEAM SPACE IS LIMITED! REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
Registrations are accepted on a "first paid" basis.
Teams
- Bible Quiz Team consists of one to four members (fourth team member is an alternate member)
- Each team will have three chairs and will operate as a "team" with a single set of paddles or quiz button
- The meet consists of a multiple-choice question round and a speed question round
- Coaches will be given an opportunity to replace a seated team member with the alternate team member at the halfway point of each round and between the rounds
- The team may quietly discuss their answer before a single team member raises the paddle or presses the button
- A single team member provides the team's response to each question
- Each team member may answer only two consecutive questions
Bible Quiz Team Options
This year we are offering 6 different team options. All teams are coed and do not have to have equal numbers of girls and boys, but all teams should include both genders.
- 3rd – 4th grade girls & boys book one
- 4th grade girls & boys book two
- 5th – 6th grade girls & boys book one
- 5th – 6th grade girls & boys book two
- 5th – 6th grade girls & boys book three
- 6th grade girls & boys book four
Dress code
- All participants (staff, leaders and clubbers) must wear an official Awana uniform
- Men and boys should wear slacks
- Women and girls should wear skirts or dresses
- All gray uniform buttons must be buttoned
- Dress must be appropriate for attending a church service
Question Pools
Each team will face questions taken from these areas:
- Start Zone
- Discoveries 1 through 5 in Books 1 and 2
- Challenges 1 through 4 in Books 3 and 4
- Silver and Gold review sections are not covered
Schedule
- Team Coaches check in at 7:30am
- Coaches Meeting begins at 8:00am
- The quiz will start at 9:00am
Some other noteworthy items
- Friends and relatives are encouraged to come and support their clubbers and teams. There will be no admission charge.
- All participants will receive a quiz participation patch or pin in addition to any awards they earn during the quiz meet.
- Competition will occur simultaneously in separate rooms. Each team must have a coach accompanying them in each room where they are competing.
- Churches may register more than one team in each grade. Second teams may be registered on a "space available" basis and will be confirmed shortly after registration deadline.
